Teri Mahaney, PhD

Teri has always paid it forward – in spontaneous acts, planned giving, and as a member of Soroptomist, Rotary, Children of the Earth, and other organizations.

Her most rewarding work has been with youth – the next generation – from leading outdoor adventure trips for at risk youth to serving as a Spiritual Elder for a UN NGO for youth who are leading peace projects in their respective countries – including youth from war torn countries and who live in resettlement camps.

Having experienced positive results with healing trauma using her Change Your Mind SuperSleep® program, Teri got inspired to combine her two passions – Change Your Mind and helping youth transform their lives. She created Helena’s Hope, a 501(c)(3) non profit, to help children in war torn countries heal their trauma.

“Then I got sidetracked,” she says. Her grandson was relentlessly bullied, and the school took no effective action. He got depressed; his grades dropped; he hung out with the wrong kids. She stepped in and made him a Change Your Mind SuperSleep® CD about being bullied. He listened to it while he slept, and he healed.

“You’ve got to help other kids the way you helped me,” her grandson told her.

And Heal Bullying became her first project for Helena’s Hope. To help other kids who have been bullied, she created 6 MP3s, which are downloadable from the website – FREE.

As she says, “After all, charity begins at home.”
